World Values Day — What You Can Do to Raise Community Awareness of The Importance of Values

World Values Day is always the third Thursday of October

As we approach World Values Day 2022, here are a couple of questions to ask yourself:

1. Are you conscious of your internal compass?
2. What truly guides your actions, reactions, and interactions in your day-to-day life?

That’s a whole lot of actions, isn’t it?

Well, if you think about it, actions help determine your quality of life at home, in your community, and at work. And your values are what direct your actions and the intentions behind them.

By aligning your core values with your mind, body, and environment, you enhance your well-being. You no longer have to put in heavy emotional work by second-guessing every single action you take.

What if your entire community was guided by core values? Think of how fast we might see positive change within and around all of us!

This year, why not raise community awareness of the importance of core values? After all, it only takes one ripple of, say, compassion, to touch the heart of another… and another, and another. You see where I’m going with this.

Already on social media? On Twitter, type in #worldvaluesday2022 to join the conversation. It’s Twitter madness! But in a good way.

There’s an entire social media pack ready to download and go. Tag your friends, family, and anyone else on your friends or follower list to put them on to the justified hype.

Remember, this is a community affair!

On World Values Day, October 20th, there will be tons of Zoom events you can participate in. Invite others to join as well! These will be centered around finding and practicing specific and general values.

You’ll learn to show businesses how to support community values, empower yourself through real world values examples, and you’ll get to talk to me on Clubhouse through an interactive chat event!

Show Values in Action

In everyday life, you can show the importance of values with the power of example-setting. For instance, when you hold the door open for someone, you present the value of kindness and remind others of that value.

Perhaps this month you decide to sign up as a volunteer to help others in need. This innately showcases service as an important value and will help you connect with others who might be inspired to do something similar.
